Bottle Cap

This isn't such a great example, but it is essentially two bottle caps screwed together. It was buried at the bottom of a sign. I guess it's supposed to look like trash. I've also seen these painted and hidden in trees. The log was nasty, not weather-proof at all. Bottle caps fall into the micro category.

  1. Actually they work great if geocachers open them from the right side, In this cache, someone broke the glue seal on the side that is not supposed to be open, leaving it open to the elements. On our newer caches like this we have labeled in dark sharpie,"open this end". This cache has been replaced and the log is now dry!

  2. Good to know! I haven't seen to many of these, but then I have only scratched the surface of caches in this area.
